The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
located just 30 minutes outside of Kansas City. This botanical garden is a hidden gem. You do not want to miss it.
Powell Gardens, Kansas City's Botanical Garden
this little town just north of the Missouri river has the cutest shopping bonus if you come in the fall to the Apple fest
Weston
this little town on the Missouri river is just about 10 minutes outside of downtown. Kansas City has wonderful local shopping and great local restaurants.
Shopping | Parkville Site
Hallmark is headquartered in Kansas City and this is their little shopping area. You will also find Legoland and an aquarium at Crowne Center.

upscale, shopping with local boutiques bonus if you come at Christmas time for their unique lights

Union Station houses science city, a movie theater escape rooms activities for the entire family. It’s also a beautiful piece of architecture to visit.

this is truly one of the treasures of our city that isn’t shown enough. You cannot miss visiting this museum.

hop on the free street car at Union Station and ride it to the power and light district. This is where you will have your nightlife and awesome restaurants.

that free street car will take you all the way down to the river market best time to visit. The river market is Saturday and Sunday mornings in the warm months.
River Market
located in the river market area. This is a boat that was brought up from the Missouri river and all the treasures that were on it. It’s an excellent museum.
Arabia Steamboat Museum
located at 18th and Vine this is such a neat area of Kansas City the Negro leagues, museum is very well done there is a jazz museum close by also consider sticking around for some jazz in the evening
Negro Leagues Baseball Museum: Welcome to NLBM
located just about 30 minutes outside of Kansas City. This recreational lake is great for the outdoor enthusiast. It has wonderful, walking and biking trails also
