The best! Must see Kilgore Falls and the King and Queen seat.
Rocks State Park - Maryland DNR
Go to this damn park! You can usually spot a bald eagle. There is a trail along the Susquehanna.
Conowingo Dam / Conowingo Fisherman's Park
Close to historic Havre de grace and Conowingo Dam.
Susquehanna State Park
Playground and nice water overlook. Havre De Grace Walking Pier is right next door.
Millard Tydings Memorial Park
Jerusalem Mills is surrounded by Gunpowder Falls Park. Go on the weekends to see the blacksmith demo. The general store is open during the week too.
Historic Jerusalem Mill Village
Baltimore County / City Area
City / Perry Hall and other Baltimore County spots
Miles and miles of trails. Favorite area is Jerusalem mills central area.
Gunpowder Falls State Park - Maryland DNR
Take the trail behind the dog park for a woodsy walk.
Honeygo Run Regional Park and Community Center
It's a small park but if you are in Baltimore city, it is worth checking out the view from this park.
Federal Hill Park - Baltimore City Recreation and Parks
Fun part of Gunpowder Falls State Park with a beach for swimming. Rent kayaks & canoes here too.
Gunpowder Falls State Park Hammerman Area
Amazingly fun playground for kids. Even older kids can have fun here. Handicap swings and zip line!
Angel Park in Perry Hall, MD
Howard County
Good for a long walk around the lake.
Lake Elkhorn | Columbia, MD 21046
Good for a long walk around the lake and they have canoes to rent in the summer.
Centennial Park | Ellicott City, MD 21042
Best area is Orange Grove Area but there are many other spots to see.
Patapsco Valley
This area is great. You'll find some historic landmarks on the trail behind the bridge.
Swinging Bridge at Orange Grove
West / East / South and other
A must see for Great Falls alone! VA side is fantastic too.
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park
A bit of a drive but worth it. There's a large waterfall and beach area.
Cunningham Falls State Park - Maryland DNR
Go to the beach, see ponies! the VA side is wonderful as well.
Assateague State Park
Okay, this is not technically in MD but you can see MD across the Potomac and this park is worth the drive.
