From VA to NYC is about 5 hours drive depending on traffic! Since having a kid, we went there once for less than 3 days and it's been successful. Therefore, I'd like to share with you where we went and what we did with a toddler! It was more than eno...

Thursday

We arrived on Thursday at about 6 p.m. Checked in at the hotel, and went out for dinner and an evening walk.

We parked at the Icon Parking 43rd street, which was right across the hotel. If you tell them you're staying at Westin, they'll give a small discount.

WE booked a room with a view, it was wonderful. The hotel was clean, and updated, with full breakfast for a fee.

Had dinner at the L'OR Porch near Bryant Park. Outside seating and within 10 min walking distance from the hotel.

We spent some time in Bryant Park, there was a live concert as well, just enough people for a fantastic vibe. We also had some ice cream while our daughter ran around and danced to the music.

Friday was my birthday. So we went out for breakfast, then visited Central Park where our daughter played at the playground for a little. After we took a Hop-on Hop-off tour bus and saw the lower Manhattan. In the evening we celebrated my birthday at...

Had breakfast here. It was average. I have to say, the photos are nicer than the reality.

If you have kids, the Heckscher playground in Central Park is a must. And if it's hot outside, there's splashing water, so make sure to have some extra clothes for them.

Excellent Dinner with amazing views, delicious food, and good wine! The restaurant is within the Marriot Hotel. When taking the elevator, check the screen where you're going; it will tell you which elevator to take. It was confusing for us at the beg...

Breakfast at the hotel. Went to experience the top view of the city. Went to an off-Broadway show for kids. And dinner at a cute restaurant.

* Book in advance!* I 100% recommend this experience! It was incredible! Also, at the end of your tour, there's a bar where you can enjoy drinks with an amazing view!

Then we went to an off-broadway show suited for kids. You can book tickets in advance or just like us, on the spot. It was a great show, the kids had fun. A little pricey though.

The restaurant was packed which made it not as appealing as the photos present it. Although we had a reservation, we still waited for about half an hour which was annoying. The food and the drinks were okay.

Again, we had breakfast at our hotel's restaurant. It was delicious and convenient. Then we said goodbye to NYC and left to home sweet home.

Even with the discount from the hotel, the parking was still expensive. We paid a little over $200 from Thursday evening till Sunday morning.
