I took a small vacation to Las Vegas last year. We were on a budget, and these are some cool places I recommend visiting.

I stayed at the Flamingo Hotel which is located center strip in Las Vegas. It was reasonably priced, clean and has an outdoor habitat with flamingo's, turtles, and coy fish. There is an outdoor bar where you can sit and watch people walking by on the boulivard.
Flamingo Las Vegas
Ellis Island is a restaurant/hotel/casino that is walking distance from the Flamingo hotel, off strip where we often had dinner. The food is really good and the prices were very reasonable.

When we were in Las Vegas, we took an excursion bus ride to Grand Canyon West in Arizona. We met the bus at Caesars Palace across from the Flamingo. The bus driver was very entertaining and had us laughing all the way up and back. This excursion costs about $50 per person. At the Grand Canyon, the views were spectacular; there is a restaurant, gift shop, and the Sky Walk to walk out on if you dare.

The High Roller is a ferris wheel located at the Linq Promadade next door to the Flamingo. The High Roller lights up at night and changes color. The wheel rotates slowly so people can get on and off without stopping. Each pod can hold 40 people but typically there's about 10-15 so you can walk around. You can see the entire city from the top and the views are spectacular!

I loved Fremont Street. The People watching is excellent! The images on the ceiling were awesome and you can even zip line! The prices are very reasonable whether you are eating are drinking there, and there is plenty of street performers providing entertainment.

Casino Royale is located center strip and it's about a 10 minute walk from the Flamingo. The drinks are reasonable priced compared to other places on the strip. They had take out food and plenty of slots to play. We frequented this place alot.

This is a bus ride excursion to the Hoover Dam. The views are beautiful and they discuss the history of the Dam. Lake Meade is pretty, but you can see that the water levels were dropping. If you get to go to Las Vegas, definately visit the Hoover Dam.

A short walk from the Flamingo, Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville was a great restaurant with good food and music. You can sit outside and watch people walking by as well.

The Bellagio Fountains are quite a spectacle. We walked over from the Flamingo and stood on the pedestrian overpass to view the fountain show. A must see!

This is probably the biggest candy shop I've ever seen. Every candy you can think of is here, even candy you didn't think was made anymore you'll find here! Upstairs they specialize in chocolate, and have chocolate fountains. This is located a short walk from the Flamingo Hotel.
The Sweet Shop
Carlo's and Charlies is located inside the Flamingo Hotel and has really good food and drinks! The bartenders were great. There is an outdoor seating area that abuts the courtyard and you can sit, people watch and listen to music. The Mojoto's are great there.

The Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are stunning! I was in awe… If you visit Las Vegas, definately a great place to stop and escape the stress of the strip for a few minutes!

This is located next door to the Flamingo Hotel and where you will find the High Roller Wheel. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops to visit. I frequented this place a lot and did some shopping while in Las Vegas.
