Did you know that Department 56 is a company known for its collectible villages and figurines? The history of Department 56 dates back to 1976 when it was founded by Edward R. Bazinet, Barbara J. Lund, and Susan Engelstad. The company initially focused on producing ceramic houses and buildings inspired by the architecture of New England. But now it has several collections that we have all come to know and love.
Over the years, Department 56 expanded collections that we come to love: The Dickens Village, The North Pole Village, The Christmas in the City, The Alpine Village, and The New England Village.
They have added new collections that are themes we all know and love. Like this one! I was surprised to see there is a Harry Potter collection. Don't tell my daughter or we'll both be broke.
Are you a fan of Christmas Vacation like we are, plus love decorating for Christmas? Well here we go - the best of both worlds.
