These are some of the absolute basics you should have in your emergency kit.
First Aid Stuff
If there is an emergency, it's likely there will be injuries. I highly recommend keeping at least a basic first aid kit on hand.
Keeping Kids Occupied
Kids can be entertained while you're dealing with other things you don't want them to see, and to keep their spirits up.
Emergency Food and Drink
You're supposed to have enough food and water for three days per person. I like to buy in bulk to make sure we have enough, and rotate it out with our regular food.
